wow Michele you are so determined - that is great! It must feel wonderful to be 112~ That is what I would like, but i have 50 to go. I like your 'I am giong to do one hour a day of SOMETHING' - even yoga on the floor. I have to set up a date with myself for it. Today was a Mediterranean day all right - Spinach pie at the Greek place next to the hospital run by a Swiss couple - yummy soup. It's all good - celebrate! Reply with quote | #502 | Congrats Michele, you are determined, that is half the battle!! And remember, muscles need rest inbetween to grow.
Mary, you are such an inspiration. I failed horribly today, ate chocolate at Costco's, they opened a new one and fed people little snacks....how could I say 'no'??
The weather was still way to cold and blowing. I hope it's done with tomorrow, should be nice and Halloween as well, hope so for the little ones going trick or treating....

Chocolate is one of the things I *haven't* given up! I try to stick to dark choc but sometimes, only milk choc will do! I do keep it organic though... And count the calories!

Reply with quote | #504 | Yeh Michele. You've got it!! I am right there with you although I am back on my treadmill. I don't like the cold weather to run outside so I have retreated back indoors. At least I am getting my 30 minuts of aeorbic exercise!! Keep it up! Hugs, Lee
PS: 112!!! WOW! I am 5'5" but stick round 130#! That is pretty low for me. I didn't gain weight with chemo, though. I was very careful and exercised throughout so maybe that helped? I don't know. Somedays I just don't have time for the 30 minute run, though, and figure 15 is better than nothing.
Indi, hope you are feeling better and able to get out and walk a bit in the fall weather! Hugs, Lee __________________ Lee |

Reply with quote | #507 | Way to go ladies!!! You all inspire me to keep trying. Although I have failed miserably on some days I have made up for it on others. I do find that I have to do "something" every day though. If I just sit and work at the computer all evening I don't lose an ounce. But if I walk at least 30 minutes a day I do lose. 6 more pounds to goal and lifetime membership at WW ... yeah! We can do it!! It appears nobody is feeling fine, in 2009...since Halloween BOOB ! ?? BOO ! TURKEY-TIME is right around the corner, and it's never too late to consider leaving out the sugar, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, traditional Mushroom Soup & Onions Green Beans, Home-made Rolls with butter & jams, pickles, olives, and cream cheese on celery sticks, and gravy...in a Gravy Boat...who posted the Gravy Boat Discussion last year? I used to collect Gravy Boats...and Turkey Salt & Pepper Shakers...a prize collection... all were part of my turn to have the Family Thanksgiving Feast...everybody had their own Turkey Salt & Pepper Shakers...creamed spinach, cranberries with cream fres, pies, pies, and more pies...and OMG...I am having a pre-Thanksgiving appetite attack....gobble gobble, gobble gobble, gobble gobble...quack...ing...up! Maybe a chicken or duck this year...after reading Calico's post about Turkey on the Food Forum. Or maybe the fake-Trukee...made with soy, grains, no, it's not respectful to the Native Americans and Early Pilgrims...gotta dress up like a Quaker, or wear feathers, eat Turkey, Pumpkin, Squash, and Cranberries, and lots of veggies, Pies, Popcorn, Nuts, and everything or anything we can think of to Thank the Earth, Mother Nature, Friends, Family & Loved Ones...and know that we are blessed for now. Have a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving this week, everyone! Forget about the diet for a few days...and don't feel guilty about eating the leftovers...heck, we deserve it, right? After dinner and desert, take the dog, cat, family, and whoever wishes; and share your happiness together by going outside for a nice long walk in the sweet, cool, stimulating November air... lol...and when you return to the home-base, everyone can sit down and eat some more! Don't forget the Wassail, cookies, and creating memories that will last forever & ever!!! Yummy, now, where's the Turkey, here Turkey, Turkey...here Turkey, Turkey...gobble...gobble, gobble-gobble-de-gook, lol...
Love Indi
