Dear Gina, it's so good to hear you are OK! I did find a discussion of your surgery on another topic thread, somewhere on the boards, and now can't find it again...I am not very skilled at forum-action yet. If it would be better to post there, DO let me know...and NO hurry, you must be in quite a deal of pain!! I did read, on that other thread, that you had 2 operations and it wasn't all that easy. I really hope you are feeling much better soon! NO worries about telling me the harsh truth about LAT...I have recovered very well and with few problems from all 7 major surgeries thus far, and I know I'm a good candidate for the LAT, so I won't freak out very easily. I only wish you were having a pain-free time!!!
I won't overload you at the moment...and NO hurry to ever respond...but I did think you were still going to have implants placed, under the transferred LAT muscle? Or did they reconstruct with your own tissue? But NO hurry, wonder-woman, I'll be here whenever you feel like posting! (I had trouble typing after some surgeries...so really, don't hurry on my account! I only wish I could offer you real help with managing forums, etc....but I would have absolutely no idea what I was doing and would create chaos.) MUCH love and warmest wishes, Laurie

Gina and sisters going through the same experience: I wish this had been already available to you to spare you all these torments...

Note: I have no idea of the seriousness of the article... ran into it by accident

Take care

Hi Laurie,
They put implants in under the lat muscle they transferred. I don't know if they are under the pecs or if they put the pecs back to normal again.

I had to have the two surgeries because I had a complication that is very rare after the big one. Don't worry - only I seem to get these things!

Catherine, that sounds a little scary to me. It makes me feel like it could invite cancer to grow too. .. but imagine if it could work! WOW!
